A thermal camera shows differences in surface temperature. It helps us find missing insulation, hidden moisture and hot breakers that look fine to the eye.
It is not x-ray vision, and it needs a temperature difference to work. When the camera shows something, we confirm it with a moisture meter or a closer look.
